Imran Khan Marriage Plans

A big fat Indian wedding is on the cards. And this one promises to be quite hip, hop and happening as Imran Khan readies to wed Avantika Malik, his sweetheart of eight and a half years in January, 2011. The duo met while in college and romance soared and bloomed at a time when Imran wasn’t too sure of the path he’d like to choose in life.

Having weathered many ups and downs together, the pair got engaged early this year, at a private do at Karjat. And they’re now gearing up for a lavish wedding even as the families are working out the perfect ‘mahurat’ to solemnise the union. Mercifully, unlike other B Town heroes Imry has never shied away from admitting to his romantic fondness for Avantika (none of the coy “we are good friends” bit, here). They were open about their bond and were seen publicly at various dos, a feat which other newbies can learn a thing or two from.

Incidentally, that will make him the youngest hero to get hitched, this season. While Imran confirmed the nuptial news to the scribe tribe, he was supremely hesitant about divulging details. The actor’s PR machinery, however, slyly squealed that the matrimonial knot was to be finalised in the second week of January 2011 and that close pals, kith and kin were being sent SMSs to keep themselves free around that time. As per close sources, Imran won’t be taking time off from work. Rather, he will be busy promoting his next film. As of now, he will go to Las Vegas on November 26, 2010 and will be back only on December 16, 2010. Thereafter, Imry is all set to take a 20 day break from filming and thereafter he will rush back to his shoot.

The scene had Katrina sitting pillion while Imran took the handle of a Chetak scooter. Both her hands were carrying shopping bags while Imran’s peeved expression said it all.

Imran Khan and Avantika Malik to get Married very soon

Imran Khan and Avantika Malik to get Married very soon!: It is almost a year since the Bollywood actor Imran Khan got engaged to Avantika Malik on January 11 this year. Now, the star is all set to take the wedding vows with his fiancée on January 8, 2011. The families have started sending out the invitations.

The wedding will take place at Karjat where the Khans have a farmhouse. Imran got engaged with Avantika at the same place.

As a source tells a tabloid, “Though it is exactly two months away, the preparations are in full swing. Those on the guest list were sent SMSes or told on the phone to keep themselves free on January 8 from 5 pm to 5am. The message stated that a formal invite the wedding card would follow later.”

Yes, the Maliks are planning an unusual wedding; the ceremony is from dusk to dawn. After Imran made his debut with Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, he had no qualms declaring his love for Avantika. He proposed marriage on her birthday in July 2009.

Imran’s next release is Break Ke Baad with Deepika Padukone.

Break Ke Baad Movie Ready to release on November 26, 2010: The Break Ke Baad official trailer is on the mark: editing is slick, acting is impressive and, most of all, the story comes through as convincing.

The 2m 6sec trailer lays down the plot, and the inherent conflicts, with endearing simplicity.

Most of the footage features Abhay (Imran Khan) and Aalia (Deepika Padukone), with their screen mothers, Lilette Dubey and Sharmila Tagore, appearing in a couple of scenes each.

We weren't as impressed with the first look promotional of the film as we are with the theatrical trailer.

The film releases on November 26, 2010.

Imran Khan now fan of SRK

Imran Khan now fan of SRK: Does this come as a shock? Imran Khan, who is nephew of Aamir Khan and in real life is a die hard fan of another Khan - who is none other than Salman Khan - now hero-worships Shahrukh Khan. Well, this is how his character acts in the film Break Ke Baad.

Imran who plays a lover boy in Kunal Kohli’s film Break Ke Baad is actually a hero-worshipper and is mad about Shahrukh in the film. But initially the makers thought of Aamir instead of SRK. Kunal tells a tabloid, “But then, the whole mama-bhanja relationship would've got in the way of the character and the storytelling.”

Imran and Deepika Padukone are of today’s generation and who else than Shahrukh or Aamir as the iconic Bollywood stars for them. Imran’s character in BKB has seen SRK’s films since childhood and idolizes him. He also copies the star’s style from his film Main Hoon Na and adds fun quotient to it.

To see Imran doing a Shahrukh you have to wait till November 26 when the movie hits the theaters.
